What are you declaring?

What are you declaring?

Today all we have to do is turn on the news for 5 minutes, and we are filled with despair and no hope.  We have the Chinese Virus (COVID-19).  We see rioting and lawlessness as people are fighting police and wreaking destruction.  Look at what is going on in our government when you have the democratic left that are doing anything, they can do to overthrow our government.  They are cursing the President, his cabinet, and are going after his wife.  Churches remain closed in some cities, while abortion clinics, casinos, and bars remain open.  Are you declaring and praying for God to make a move or are you joining in declaring the opposite?

We see in Ephesians 6:12 NASB, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

There is a spiritual battle waged

So, what is going on in the world today is a spiritual battle between heaven and hell.  Where am I going with this? With our declarations we can change things in the supernatural by speaking into our situation and expect it to change. We have a choice to speak according to the Word of God over our situation or we can curse it.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21 NASB

We can initiate spiritual assignments by our decrees or declarations over ourself, situation, or others. I believe we have both angels and demons near us listening to us. Remember the Tom and Jerry cartoons where there was an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other. They were both trying to get Tom to do something good or bad. I am using that as a visual for you.

We know that in Psalm 91 that it says the Lord has given his angels charge over us. To lift us up, so we don’t dash our foot against a stone. Familiar spirits (demonic) know things about you. We see in Acts 16:16 that a slave girl that was in operation with a spirit of divination/familiar spirit. This is why psychics can know certain things about you, but not everything. Well, if the angelic and demonic weren’t near us then this wouldn’t be the case.

We are Ambassadors

We are ambassadors for the kingdom of heaven. Ambassadors speak or declare what their nation’s wishes are. Ambassadors set things in motion, depending on the circumstances. Our orders come from God, and we are to carry out those orders. Our job description is to heal the sick, cast out devils, set the captives free, and share the gospel.

I believe depending on what we say or declare we can send either the demonic or angelic to work. If we curse someone then we are sending the demonic to work to carry out that curse. When we praise or speak into someone’s life, we are sending the angelic to work to accomplish it.

Paul says in Ephesians 5:19 that we should speak to each other with songs and hymns…. This is important to understand.  We need to greet each other with uplifting words of encouragement and words of edification. Rather than slander, bickering, and gossiping behind one’s back.

God even calls one who spreads strife as an abomination.

“There are six things which the Lord hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that run rapidly to evil, a false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers.” Proverbs 6:16-19

Don’t be a talebearer

One who spreads strife and utters lies is a talebearer or a gossiper.  They use deceit and manipulation to cause division and control to get what they want.  We need to stay away from these people at all costs.  They like to take what you say and manipulate it by twisting the truth to spread hatefulness and lies.  Gossipers think they are correct even though the truth has been twisted to achieve its desired outcome.  It is hard to correct someone who is engaging in this type of behavior.  They think they are doing good by letting everyone know that this person did this and that, but they are actually causing problems in the body of Christ.

The issue about wearing masks has caused a division in the body of Christ.  It is hard to take a stance or choose a side these days because you will get yelled at if you do and yelled at if you don’t.  I have my own personal views on this.  I will say this: Romans 13: 1 says we are to be in subjection to the governing authorities.  It doesn’t say under their laws but under their authority.  They are not having you do anything that is against God’s will or commandment so we should obey.  That is all on that subject.

Back to the topic at hand, we need to stop the bickering amongst the church and start walking in unity.  We need to greet each other with praise and uplifting words instead of with judgment and hatred.  We have to understand that we are all from different walks of life, upbringing, and theology.  Some are not in the same walk as we are in with our Lord and personal Savior.  Some may even find different revelation from the Word than you.  That doesn’t mean that they are wrong or incorrect.  Unless someone is way off of scripture then I usually don’t say a word.

The enemy wants you to bicker

The enemy knows that if he can get the church bickering and cursing each other then we will not gain any ground or walk in the victory given to us.  We have to remember that when we are slandering or cursing them, the demonic forces go to work on that person in order to see what we said against them come to pass. In the Healing and Deliverance Ministry, we call them word curses, and we see the effects from years of this coming to pass.  Parents, it is important to not curse your children (for example, saying they are worthless, a mistake, or that they will never amount to anything). They will not amount to anything if they come into agreement with those curses.  If you say things enough, it can cause them to start to believe a lie.

Leaders in the church, we have to be exceptionally careful of this also.  If we have a list of people that we group text message slander to other leaders about, it is doing the same thing.  It is sick when I hear of such things happening amongst leaders in the church.  I have heard of a text network between trusted individuals where they will speak and text slander against members in their own congregation.  I pray there will be a revealing of these private networks for all to see.  This junk has to stop in the church.  No wonder why we see no growth in the church.  It is because the church is active in sinful activities and cursing each other.

There is a move of God coming

With this next move of God that is coming, the Lord doesn’t want what stopped the move at Azusa to happen again. That revival ended because of the church not praising each other about what God was doing, but instead people rose up and said, “We can do it better than them, so come to our services.” That is evil; there’s no other way to say it.  The next move is going to take this land by surprise, and it is coming to people who are truly repentant for their ways and are ready to change.  It is coming to strong churches where people do not care or will not heed to every whisper, comment, and slanderous word out there.  They know how to break off word curses and will pursue all that God has for them.

When that happens, we cannot grumble and complain, because we would miss the move of God. Rather, if we rejoice in what God is doing through that ministry and invite God to move in ours, He will.

Imagine you are in the 4th quarter, with 20 seconds left on the clock, and you are trailing your competition.  What is your plan? Begin to slander the other team for a pending victory? Or dig in, plan, and prepare for your own victory?  The choice is yours, and the win won’t come from cursing, but rather from rejoicing, speaking with psalms and hymns, and praising people.

The word also says in James 1:19 NASB, “This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger.”

We sometimes have to stop, listen, ponder, then speak, and do not speak out of anger.  We need to follow this when we receive correction from another believer that sees misquotation of material or the presentation of it.

Time to unite, church, because there is a mighty move coming, and I want everyone to have a part in it.

We love and bless you all.
